Issue #13 Fort Bragg, California July, 2005 As you can see, I'm still in the Pacific Northwest and I am still flying!! Let's see. I headed north June 9th and today is July 18th. I have been gone and month and nine days or something like that. I have attended two float flies, Red Bluff and Plat I, and visited four flying fields, Corning, Ash Creek, RAMS in Sumner Washington and Marymoor Park near Redmond, Washington. Nice folks at every place I visit. Currently I am visiting my two sons and my daughter and my five plus grandchildren (I say "plus" because number six is currently in the hanger). And I attended the Bloomquist Family Reunion. But, enough about me.... Fog Buster's member Jack Casey e-mailed me the following and asked me to put it in this newsletter. Jack writes: Here are some photo's and info for the next newsletter.
Above are photos of the GP Bark Site, and were taken in early May. They show a possible flying site, RC Car site, and water site for RC boats and planes! We're "slowly" looking into this possibility. We need to secure maps of both the Bark site and adjacent proposed Golf/Rec park area, before going ahead with proposals! Anyone who has connections and can help is invited to do so. I'm currently working on a verbal pitch to enlist community support in this effort. When I have it completed, I'll share. I plan to contact AMA for more assistance and guidelines, later in the year.
And these two photos are of the clubs two leaders, who have worked so hard in getting us this far, that they ended up in the hospital!!! As of this email, Dick Lucas (right photo with nursing assistant) is recovering fine from his stroke and is at home, and has recently visited our "improved" flying site (thanks to major efforts by Ron Cowan and his wife). It looks great! Club President Neil is still recovering from his heart surgery, and just had a setback, due to kidney function, which they say is not uncommon in these situations. I've got a few items for sale: a '98 Ford Expedition w/low miles, great shape, Eddie Baur Edition, for $11,500, and a '91, 27ft Komfort trailer in good condition for $5,250! If interested call Jack Casey 1-707-634-9587 That's about all for now.......Jack Thanks Jack for the information and photos. I hear that Neil and Dick are much improved and rumor has it Dick and Doris attended the Selmac float fly in Oregon the weekend of the 16th of July!!. Bye for now from Seattle. Happy flying!
